Classes-Events-Art Shows I teach painting techniques to capture the processes of Landscape. Beginner to advanced students welcome in all classes. Learn painting techniques: shapes, values, colors, and brushwork.  I demonstrate each class and give insightful critiques and painting evaluations.

Free Slideshow and Talk May, 2010

As I show each slide I weave a conversation about Art, Nature and the history of our National Parks and Public lands. It is uniquely American to have community open space where one can hike, bird watching and enjoy outdoor recreation. Artists have been integral to this development, as the Ken Burn’s National Parks Documentary points out; artists went west with the first survey parties. Thomas Moran’s oils were hung in Congress to persuade Congress to dedicate Yellowstone National Park. Art and Nature protect and nurture each other.
